this is the bit I always find the hardest - where do I start?
How about from the beginning? I’ve been obsessed with photography for as long as I can remember - I was that kid at family weddings, running around with a disposable camera, convinced I was capturing the next big moment (spoiler: it was usually someone’s elbow or a blurry dance floor shot – still counts). When I was gifted my first camera at the age of 16 (Cannon EOS 300V 35mm film camera - still in my parents house somwhere), that’s when the love affair with photography truly began. I was rarely seen without a camera in hand from then on.
Fast forward to today — I’m a husband to my amazing wife Katie, and a Dad to our two brilliant kids, Étaín and Fionn. Like most parents, they’re my whole world, and I’m constantly taking photos of them (and I’m glad to say, they don’t complain - not yet anyways). Being a dad has taught me just how important the little things are — the glances, the laughs, the quiet moments — and that’s exactly what I try to capture in my work.
